We were in Ballard on Sunday afternoon and decided to take a stroll through Golden Gardens Park. It's a deceiving name becuase yes, it is a park and yes, it has a garden (if you call trees and a grassy area a garden), but it's really mainly a big beach attached to the
Shishole Marina. It was cold out (okay, cold to me! It was about 50 degrees), but it was still very pretty - there are sand dunes way out at the end and the beach butts up right against a tall slope of trees. We tried to grab some pictures where you
can see the trees changing colors. The sun was starting to set but people were still heading out to the beach to set up campfires and hang out. It looked like a really good time! You'd have to bundle up from head to toe and bring along camping chairs so you don't have to sit on the cold sand, but it looks like something Scott and I will try to do in the next few weeks.
