Meeting Great Grandma!

Evie is lucky - she has two great grandmothers that shower her with love and affection! She met Tai Poh (Great Grandma Lim, my Mom's mom) over the weekend when we drove down to Portland for a visit. Evie was in a great mood all weekend too; she seemed to enjoy all the attention from Great Aunt Daisy and from Tai Poh as well as the Portland sunshine. Hopefully, Evie will be able to meet her other Great Grandma - Granda Jeanne (Scott's Dad's mom) when we go down to LA later in the year.

Here's a few pics from the weekend:

Happy birthday Evie!

Our little baby girl turned 1-month old on Saturday, July 9th! I can't believe it's already been a month - seems like just yesterday we were taking her home from the hospital and staring at her wide-eyed, trying to figure out how to hold her head up properly so that it wouldn't roll around. Fast forward one month and though she's not holding her head up on her own just yet, we're a little more confident with our parenting. She's smiling and cooing much more now and has gained a pound or two so it seems like we're doing something right!

Happy birthday Evie!

Just minutes old, bonding with Mommy.

STP

It's been a busy weekend! First up, Scott headed off early Saturday morning on the Seattle-to-Portland bike classic ride - a grueling 204 mile 2-day bike ride between the two PACNW cities. It's the main bike event of the year here and there are some 10,000+ riders that do the trip. Scott went with 2 buddies and they were even able to get Living Social jerseys to wear to represent his company. He finished the ride late afternoon on Sunday in Portland where we picked him up. As his reward, we went for a celebratory meal at Gustav's for his favorite - German food and beer!

5:45am on Saturday morning, at the starting line for STP.

Pretty pretty princess

Evie has so many cute outfits to wear. I especially like the one that her Aunt Missy gave her - she looks like a princess ballerina!
