Hooray for May!

It was May's birthday yesterday. We started off the day by attending a friend's brunch in honor of May where we each created omlette works of art.

After some purse shopping, we dined at Honda-Ya in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles) for the Japanese equivalent of "Tapas". We were quite adventuresome in our selections:

  • Raw squid and wasabi
  • Grilled Okra
  • Crunchy tempura shrip rolls
  • Fried soft shell crab
  • Grilled gizzard
  • Seaweed salad
  • Fried sticky rice cakes (tasty!)

You forgot a few!
We also had sauteed enoki mushrooms, seaweed salad and cold soba noodles. YUM to the soba noodles!

Thumbs down to the crunch roll (Scott's pick) and octopus in wasabi marinade (not for us).
